GEAR CITY KIDS
Every Sunday, children (birth through 5th grade) have a blast learning about Christ in a safe, age-appropriate environment. Through creative biblical teaching, we work together to teach kids how to the greatest thing they can possible do with their lives - love Jesus with all their heart, mind and strength.
YOUR FIRST VISIT
When you arrive at Gear City Church, we have cheerful greeters ready to meet your family and quickly help you find your way to Gear City Kids area. Look for the area designated for Guest Check-In.
Our Gear City Kids computer check-in will open 30 minutes prior to the service starting. At the Guest Check-In station, we will ask for the following personal information at check-in: family members’ names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.
After getting your family in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
Should your child need you during the main worship experience, your ID number will come up on the screen and you can come and meet with our staff for assistance with your child.
For future visits, you can check in your child at any available Self-Check In station.
A SAFE ENVIRONMENT
In addition to our check-in system, our volunteers must complete a volunteer application and pass a federal and state background check. For your child's safety, our volunteers never serve alone. Our rooms have open layouts so children are always in view, no matter where they are.
CREATIVE AGE APPROPRIATE BIBLE TEACHING
Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and live acting.
KIDS NIGHT OUT
Every few months, we offer Kids' Night Out. This event is a FREE, great night for the kids to come out and have some fun, play games and eat food while they hang with their friends and our staff. It is a great time for the kids to build friendships with other Gear City friends and teachers. Meanwhile, you have a few hours to go do whatever you'd like to do - go on a date, workout, go shopping, clean house or rest. It's a win-win for everyone!
WHAT WE VALUE
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives. We utilize the acronym SOAP to help facilitate this.
SCRIPTURE
Take your time reading each chapter and allow God to speak to you. Look for a verse that particularly spoke to you and write it in your journal.
OBSERVATION
What do you think God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you. Paraphrase and write this scripture down in your own words in your journal.
APPLICATION
Personalize what you have read, by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.
PRAYER
This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or it may be a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two-way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say and journal about it.
We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.
Our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. We are so passionate about kids learning this way that we encourage you to take them to Gear City Kids rather than into the experience designed for adults.
Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check, and every hallway is monitored by security personnel.

We believe the best way we can help your kids develop a strong spiritual foundation is by partnering with you. Together, we can help encourage, train, and pray for them as they grow in their faith.

- Pray for your children each week as they come to church, and pray for our teams as they serve and care for your kids.
